Trekking in Maratea

One of the main characteristics of Maratea is the variety of its landscapes, varying from breathtaking sea views to wooded hillsides and majestic mountains which sweep down to the sea creating steep cliffs. You can admire spectacular places that will leave you breathless thanks to routes suitable for everyone, even the less experienced, living unforgettable days. Take time to visit the Statua del Redentore, or Christ Statue, on Mt. San Biagio. The statue is the second largest of its kind in the world (after Rio de Janeiro's), but the real attraction is the spectacular view of Maratea's old town, the port, and the coast as you look almost straight down from the summit ridge.
